Type a description and the generator renders it as an image in your browser, with nothing to install. You choose a tier, an aspect ratio and, if you like, a style preset. If you sign in, you can also attach reference images to guide the subject or composition.

How to generate an image from text

Describe the image
Write a prompt of 5 to 2,000 characters. Name the subject, the setting, the lighting and the style.

Choose the settings
Pick an aspect ratio and a style preset. Sign in to use a paid tier or to attach reference images.

Generate and download
Click Generate. Signed-in results are saved to your history. Signed-out results are not saved, so download them before you leave.

Limits and costs
- Signed out: text prompts on the free HiDream Fast tier only, with a bot check and up to 50 images per day per IP address.
- Signed in: HiDream Fast still costs no credits. The other tiers spend the credits shown in the table for each image.
- Reference images need a signed-in account with a verified email: up to five per generation, in JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB each. Some tiers, including HiDream Fast, use only the first image.
- Aspect ratios: 1:1, 2:3, 3:2, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16 and 16:9.
- Every prompt passes an automated moderation check, and prompts that break the rules are refused.

Is this AI image generator free?
The HiDream Fast tier costs no credits. Signed out, you can create up to 50 images per day per IP address. The other tiers use credits.
Do I need an account to generate images?
No. You can generate from a text prompt on HiDream Fast without signing in. You need an account for the other tiers, for reference images and for a saved history.
How do I write a better prompt?
Name the subject, the setting, the lighting and the style. “A red fox in deep snow at dawn, soft rim light, photorealistic” gives the model far more to work with than “a fox”.
Can I use reference images?
Yes, once you sign in with a verified email. Attach up to five JPEG, PNG or WebP images of up to 10 MB each to guide the result. Some tiers, including HiDream Fast, use only the first image.
What sizes can I generate?
HiDream Fast produces 1K images and the other tiers go up to 2K. Every tier offers seven aspect ratios, from square to 16:9 and 9:16.
Does this generator run HiDream-I1 or HiDream-O1-Image?
No. Fast, Pro and Max are this site's own tier names, and they use other third-party image models. hidream.org is independent of HiDream.ai.
