AI image editor: no restrictions from fixed templates

Start with your own image, not a preset. This is a prompt-first AI image editor. No restrictions from fixed templates shape the result: you describe the change, choose one of four models and seven aspect ratios, and review what comes back. HiDream Fast and HiDream Max use your first reference image; HiDream Pro and GPT Image 2 use every reference you attach. That freedom is creative, not a safety loophole: content rules and model safety checks apply to every image request, so review each result before sharing it.

How to use the editor in three steps

  1. 1

    Upload your image

Sign in for free, then click + Reference to add a JPEG, PNG or WebP image up to 10 MB. Put your main photo first; the image editor takes up to five reference images per edit.

  2. 2

    Brief the editor

Describe what to change and what to keep, or pick a look from the Style menu. Choose a model and an aspect ratio; the editor shows the credit cost next to Generate.

  3. 3

    Review and refine

Compare the edited image with your original and adjust one instruction at a time. Every image from the editor is saved to your history.

Why use this AI image editor? No restrictions on how you start

Your image, your brief

No template decides your layout first. The image editor starts from your source image and your written brief rather than a preset frame; review each result for changes you did not ask for.

An editor without layers

Write the edit the way you would brief a retoucher. Without masks, brushes or a layer panel, the image editor can move a product, relight a scene or change its style from text alone.

A clear free tier

After sign-in, HiDream Fast edits use no credits, and new accounts get 10 free credits for the other image models. The editor shows the cost of each image before you submit.

Seven frames, square to 16:9

Pick 1:1, 2:3, 3:2, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16 or 16:9 in the image editor, so one image can become a product tile, a story or a banner. Check how the model reframed your subject before you use the result.

What you can create with the image editor

Product images

Use the editor to place a product on a new surface, change the season outside the window, or test warmer light before a shoot. Tell the image editor to keep labels and packaging unchanged, then compare the final image with the real item before you list it.

Portraits and personal photos

Ask the image editor to swap a cluttered background for a clean studio backdrop, apply a painted look, or restage a travel image from your own camera roll. Keep the prompt focused on light and background so the editor has less reason to change faces.

Concept art and social posts

Turn a rough sketch into a finished image, compare three color palettes for one illustration, or ask the editor to leave clean space in a 9:16 story. For exact headline text, add it over the image in a layout editor; generated lettering can still slip.

Combine reference images in the editor

In the image editor, HiDream Pro and GPT Image 2 read every reference you attach, while HiDream Fast and HiDream Max work from the first image only. Two workflows that use this:

  • Multi-image composite

Upload a product shot first and a mood photo second, then ask the editor, on GPT Image 2 or HiDream Pro, to “place the bottle from the first image on the wet slate table from the second, match the warm side light, keep the label text unchanged.” Check the label afterwards; an instruction is not a guarantee.

  • Free draft, optional 2K rerun

Test your brief on HiDream Fast at 1K for no credits. For a 2K image, rerun the same prompt in the editor on HiDream Pro and check the displayed cost first; a rerun creates a new result, so composition and details may change.

Choosing a model in the editor

HiDream Fast

Free 1K drafts with no credits; the editor uses your first reference image as the starting point.

HiDream Pro

Up to 2K output; the editor sends this model every reference image you attach.

HiDream Max

Up to 2K output; the editor sends only your first reference image, so check faces and labels in the result.

GPT Image 2

Up to 2K output; the editor sends every reference image. Check any generated lettering in the image before you use it.

Creative freedom inside clear safety rules

A creative AI image editor: no restrictions from presets, firm rules on content. Our terms forbid sexually explicit or NSFW content in any style, any sexualized depiction of minors, and intimate or sexualized edits of real people without consent. Requests that a model's safety system rejects are not generated, and trying to get around those checks breaks our terms. Inside those rules, the subject, style and format of each image you make in the editor are yours to choose.

Image editor FAQ

Is this AI image editor free?
Yes, you can start free. Sign in to upload an image; edits on HiDream Fast cost no credits, and new accounts get 10 free credits for HiDream Pro, HiDream Max or GPT Image 2. The image editor always shows the credit cost before you run an edit, and the pricing page lists plans for higher-volume work.
Does “AI image editor no restrictions” mean uncensored or NSFW here?
No. For HiDream, “AI image editor, no restrictions” means template-free editing: you describe the change, then choose an available model and frame. HiDream is not an uncensored or NSFW image editor. Our terms prohibit sexually explicit content, any sexualized depiction of minors, and non-consensual imagery of real people, and a request blocked by a model's safety system is not generated.
Do I need an account to use the editor?
Yes. Photo edits in the image editor need a free account: if you attach an image and press Generate while signed out, you are sent to sign-in first. Without an account you can still try text-to-image on HiDream Fast.
How many reference images can the editor use?
The editor accepts up to five per edit, each a JPEG, PNG or WebP file of 10 MB or less. HiDream Pro and GPT Image 2 use every reference image; HiDream Fast and HiDream Max use the first, so put your main image first.
Will the image editor keep every detail of my image?
Not always. The model redraws the image, so faces, logos, small text and edges can shift. Keep your original image, tell the editor what must stay, and check the result at full size before you publish it.
Does the editor post my edits publicly?
No. Each image you make in the image editor is saved to your own history and is not published automatically.
